List for networking Japanese academics and academics-to-be; Need approval from the list owner to join. The criteria of becoming a member are
1) having Japanese nationality,
2) being interested in obtaining teaching/researching positions in the United States' higher education system or research institution, and
3) being willing to participate in the network, instead of just retrieving messages.
The purposes of the network are enhancing networking among Japanese nationals with the same purposes to encourage each other as well as increasing our chances to get jobs. Those with Japanese nationality and already working for one of the institutions described above are also welcome to join.
